– The best time to travel to this region is April-May and October-the beginning of November. Traveling to Florida is recommended year round.

– When Planning a trip to this region please note the some roads in the Sierra Nevada Mountains may be closed due to snow until June
– Some of the areas in this region may be very hot in summer months, but with low humidity and therefore usually bearable (unless there is an extreme heat wave)
How long?
This area is uniquely varied and with relatively short driving distances (in American standards). If the trip focuses in California it can be relatively short – 1-2 weeks. If it will also include Western Utah it is advised to allow 3 weeks, and if it will also include Eastern Utah or Colorado it is advised to add more time to this trip

– In the southern areas of this region it is possible to travel year also in April and October and is some areas even year round
– In the northern areas of this region it is recommended to travel until the middle of September (afterwards snowstorms may ocuur

The riving distances in this regions are very long. Therefore visiting this region is recommended only if you can spare at least 3-4 weeks. Many people combine visiting this region with a cross country trip

– if visiting only in the coastal areas of this region it is also possible travel through all September and October
– Hiking trails that lead to high altitudes in the Canadian Rockies may be covered with snow and inaccessible until the middle of June

1-2 weeks for a trip to the Canadian Rockies, 2-3 weeks for a trip in the Canadian Rockies plus the coastal areas of British Columbia

The most recommended trip includes a combination of few regions. For Example – one of the most recommended trips to the Canadian Rockies starts in Seattle and ends in Salt Lake City (both in the USA).

And some of the best trips to Eastern Canada include also a visit in Northeast USA.
