Toronto Circular 5


Toronto Circular 5 – A beautiful route in Eastern Canada and Northeastern USA. The route starts in the city of Toronto and from there leads to the cities of Ottawa and Montreal and beautiful Quebec City. The continuation of the route follows the eastern banks of the Saint Lawrence River and visits some beautiful nature areas along it. After crossing the delta of the river by ferry the route leads to the Gaspe Peninsula, a beautiful, pristine region in Eastern Quebec. From this peninsula the route runs through the province of New Brunswick. The last part of this route includes a visit to the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York, and eventually returning back to Toronto (through the Niagara Falls).


Day 1 Land in Toronto and visit the city.
Lodging location: Toronto

Day 2 – Drive to Ottawa, on the way take a tour to the Thousand Islands, 5 hours drive
Lodging location: Ottawa

Day 3 – Visit Ottawa, the capital city of Canada and drive to Montreal, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Montreal

Day 4 – Visit Montreal and drive to Quebec City, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Quebec City

Day 5 – Visit Quebec City and drive to Tadoussac, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Tadoussac

Day 6 – Go whale watching in Tadoussac and afterwards drive north and take the ferry to Matane, 2.5 hours ferry ride plus 2.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Matane

Day 7 – Drive along to coast to the tip of the Gaspe peninsula and visit Forillon National Park, 4 hours drive
Lodging location: Gaspe

Day 8 – Drive south and visit the amazing Gannet colony in Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé National Park, 1 hour drive
Lodging location: Perce

Day 9 – Drive to the town of Moncton and on the way visit Kouchibouguac National Park, 6.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Moncton

Day 10 – Drive to Saint John, and on the way visit to Hopewell Rocks (the place with the greatest tides in the world), 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Saint John

Day 11 – Enjoy a morning in Saint John and drive to Acadia National Park, 3.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Bar Harbor

Day 12 – Visit East Acadia National Park
Lodging location: Bar Harbor

Day 13 – Visit West Acadia National Park and drive to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, 5 hours drive
Lodging location: North Conway

Day 14 – Travel in the eastern part of the White Mountains
Lodging location: North Conway

Day 15 – Cross the White Mountains through route 112 (Kancamagus Highway) and drive to the town of Stowe (Vermont), 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Stowe

Day 16 – Take a short ferry ride that crosses Lake Champlain to the state of New York and the Adirondack Mountains and travel in these mountains, 30 minutes ferry ride plus 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Lake Placid

Day 17 – Drive to the Niagara Falls (cross the border back to Canada), 6 hours drive
Lodging location: Niagara Falls (Canadian side)

Day 18 – Visit the Niagara Falls and drive back to Toronto, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Toronto

Day 19 – Fly home
