San Francisco Circular 4 – A beautiful trip in Central California that includes the three national parks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains – Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon, in addition to Route 1 and a visit to San Francisco. During extreme weather (in the beginning of spring or the end of autumn) carrying chains may be required.
Day 1 – Arrive to San Francisco and visit the city

Day 4 – Drive to Yosemite National Park and visit the park’s valley, 4 hours drive

Day 5 – Travel in Yosemite National Park’s valley, short drive

Day 6 – Visit south Yosemite (Glacier Point and Mariposa Grove – see opening dates here) and drive to Fresno, 2.5 hours drive

Day 7 – Drive to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park and visit the park, 1-3 hours drive (depending on the lodging location)

Day 8 – Visit Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park and drive south on Highway 198, 1-3 hours drive (depending on the lodging location)
Lodging location: Three Rivers or Visalia
Day 9 – Drive west to the coast, to south Route 1, and visit the area, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Morro Bay or Cambria
Day 10 – Drive and travel north along Route 1, 3 hours drive

Day 11 – Visit Monterey

Day 12 – Drive to San Francisco via the northern portion of Route 1 (through Capitola, Santa Cruz, Half Moon Bay, Pacifica etc.) and visit Santa Cruz’s Boardwalk, 3 hours drive

Day 13 – Visit an amusement park near San San Francisco (Six Flags or Great America), less than 1 hour drive in each direction
