Las Vegas to San Francisco 19 – A classic route in the states of California and Utah with a pinch of Arizona and Nevada that includes Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion National Parks plus the cities of San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, plus Highway 1, this is a great and route suitable not only for the summer and fall months but also for the spring months (although during snow storms chains may be required in high elevations).


Day 1 – Land in Las Vegas and spend the afternoon in the city

Day 2 – Spend the day in Las Vegas

Day 3 – Spend the day in Las Vegas’s Water Park
Lodging location: Las Vegas

Day 4 – Drive to Zion National Park and visit the park, 2.5 hours drive

Day 5 – Enjoy the morning in Zion and drive to Bryce National Park on scenic route 9, 2 hours drive

Day 6 – Visit Bryce National Park

Day 7 – Drive to Page, visit the Antelope Canyon (reserve in advance) and hike to the Horseshoe Bend, 2.5 hours drive

Day 8 – Rent a boat and enjoy Lake Powell

Day 9 – Drive to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and visit sites along HWY 64 in the east part of the rim, 2.5 hours drive

Day 10 – Visit the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and drive to Kingman, 2.5 hours drive
(on the way to Las Vegas stop in Hoover Dam and if you have time – drive a portion of Route 66 and stop at Seligman)

(on the way stop at Barstaw’s outlet or at Calico’s ghost town)

Day 12 – Visit Disneyland

Day 13 – Visit Disney’s California Adventure Park or drive to Legoland Park (1 hour south of Anaheim)

Day 14 – Spend the day in Los Angeles or visit Universal Studios, 1 hour drive
Lodging location: Hollywood or Santa Monica or Venice Beach

Day 15 – Drive north and visit Six Flags, 1 hour drive

Day 16 – Drive to southern Route 1 and visit sites along the way (Montana de Oro State Park, ATV trip in Pismo Beach and more), 3.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Morro Bay or Cambria

Day 17 – Drive and travel north along Route 1, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Monterey

Day 18 – Spend the day in beautiful Monterey

Day 19 – Drive to Yosemite National Park and visit Glacier Point and Mariposa Grove in south Yosemite, 5 hours drive
Lodging location: near Yosemite Valley

Day 20 – Travel and hike in Yosemite Valley, short drive

Day 21– Drive to San Francisco, 4 hours drive
