Seattle Circular 12 – A beautiful route rich with dense temperate rainforests, high snow-capped mountain peaks and wild ocean shores, along the western part of the USA state of Washington and the Canadian province of British Columbia. The route includes Mount Rainier National Park, Olympic National Park, Vancouver Island and Pacific Rim National Park, as well as the cities of Seattle, Victoria and Vancouver.


Day 1 – Land in Seattle and spend a few hours in the city
Lodging location: Seattle

Day 2 – Spend the day in Seattle
Lodging location: Seattle

Day 3 – Drive to Vancouver and on the way visit the Boeing factory, 2.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Vancouver

Day 4 – Enjoy a day in Vancouver
Lodging location: Vancouver

Day 5 – Enjoy one more day in Vancouver
Lodging location: Vancouver

Day 6 – Take the ferry to Vancouver Island (from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay in Nanaimo) and drive to Tofino, 3 hours drive plus 2.5 hours ferry ride
Lodging location: Tofino

Day 7 – Spend the day around Tofino and in Pacific Rim National Park

Day 8 – Enjoy one more day around Tofino and in Pacific Rim National Park
Lodging location: Tofino

Day 9 – Drive to Victoria and visit sites along the way, 4.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Victoria

Day 10 – Visit Victoria

Day 11 – Take the ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles (USA) and visit the northern part of the Olympic National Park and Hurricane Ridge and, 2 hours drive plus 2 hours ferry ride
Lodging location: Port Angeles or Sol Duc or Lake Crescent

Day 12 – Visit the western part of the Olympic National Park, 1.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Forks or La Push

Day 13 – Visit the Hoh Rainforest of the Olympic National Park and drive to the southern part of the park, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Kalaloch or Quinault

Day 14 – Drive  Mount Rainier National Park, 4 hours drive
Lodging location: South Mount Rainier or Paradise or Longmire

Day 15 – Hike and travel in the Paradise area of Mount Rainier National Park
Lodging location: South Mount Rainier or Paradise or Longmire

Day 16 – Enjoy one more day in the Paradise area of Mount Rainier National Park
Lodging location: South Mount Rainier or Paradise or Longmire

Day 17 – Visit the Sunrise area of the park and drive to Seattle, 4 hours drive
Lodging location: Seattle

Day 18 – Enjoy one more day in Seattle
Lodging location: Seattle
