Las Vegas to Seattle 3 – One of the most recommended, most diverse, most in-depth and most scenic routes in West USA and West Canada. Includes the Canadian Rockies National Parks – in Canada, and in the USA – Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce and Zion National Parks (all together 12 National Parks and many more National Monuments and State and Provincial Parks). All the above in addition to the cities of Seattle and Vancouver and Las Vegas.


Day 1 – Land in Las Vegas and spend the afternoon in the city
Lodging location: Las Vegas

Day 2 – Spend the day in Las Vegas
Lodging location: Las Vegas

Day 3 – Enjoy one more day in Las Vegas
Lodging location: Las Vegas

Day 4 – Drive to Zion National Park and visit the park, 2.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Springdale

Day 5 – Spend the day in Zion National Park, short drive
Lodging location: Springdale

Day 6 – Drive to Bryce National Park on scenic route 9 and visit sites along the way, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Bryce

Day 7 – Visit Bryce National Park, short drive
Lodging location: Bryce

Day 8 – Drive to Moab through Capitol Reef National Park (it is highly recommended to drive via scenic roads 12 and 24 and on the way visit Goblin Valley State Park), 5 hours drive
Lodging location: Moab

Day 9 – Visit Arches National Park, 1 hour drive in each direction
Lodging location: Moab

Day 10 – Visit Canyonlands National Park (Island in the Sky district), 1 hour drive in each direction
Lodging location: Moab

Day 11 – Go on a half day rafting tour on the Colorado River (out of Moab) and then drive to Park City, 4 hours drive
Lodging location: Park City

Day 12 – Drive to Grand Teton National Park and enjoy the afternoon in the southern part of the park, 4.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Jackson

Day 13 – Visit the southern part of Grand Teton National Park and enjoy activities around Jackson, less than 1 hour drive in each direction
Lodging location: Jackson

Day 14 – Drive north through Grand Teton, towards Yellowstone National Park, after entering the park visit the West Thumb Geyser Basin (on the shores of Lake Yellowstone), 3 hours drive
Lodging location: West Yellowstone

Day 15 – Visit the Upper Geyser Basin, 1 hour drive in each direction
Lodging location: West Yellowstone

Day 16 – Visit the Midway and Lower Geyser Basin (and if time allows visit the Norris Geyser Basin as well), 1 hour drive in each direction
Lodging location: West Yellowstone

Day 17 – Drive to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and enjoy this canyon’s wonderful waterfalls and views, 1 hour drive
(in the afternoon – if you have time, add a drive back and forth in the Hayden Valley where wildlife is abundant)
Lodging location: Canyon (or Lake Yellowstone)

Day 18 – Drive to the Lamar Valley and tour the valley and drive to Gardiner, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Gardiner

Day 19 – Visit the Mammoth Hot Springs and bath in the Boiling River and then drive north Saint Mary, 6 hours drive
Lodging location: Saint Mary (or the eastern part of Glacier National Park)

Day 20 – Drive the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park, 1 hour drive in each direction
Lodging location: Saint Mary (or the eastern part of Glacier National Park)

Day 21 – Visit the Many Glacier region and/or the Two Medicine region of Glacier National Park and then cross the border to Canada and drive to Waterton Lakes National Park, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Waterton

Day 22 – Travel and hike in Waterton Lakes National Park, short drive
Lodging location: Waterton

Day 23 – Continue traveling in Waterton Lakes National Park and drive to Banff, 4 hours drive
Lodging location: Banff

Day 24 – Enjoy a day of activities in the town of Banff and it’s surroundings, short drive
Lodging location: Banff

Day 25 – Drive to Lake Louise (directly or through route 1A) and hike in the Lake Louise region of Banff National Park, 1 hour drive
Lodging location: Lake Louise

Day 26 – Visit Yoho National Park, short drive
(Try reserving a spot on the bus to Lake O’hara located in Yoho)
Lodging location: Lake Louise

Day 27 – Drive north along the Icefields Parkway through Banff National Park and to Jasper National Park, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Jasper

Day 28 – Visit Jasper National Park, short drive
Lodging location: Jasper

Day 29 – Enjoy a day of activities in Jasper National Park, short drive
Lodging location: Jasper

Day 30 – Start driving west and on the way visit Mount Robson Provincial Park or go on a boat tour near the small town of Blue River, 2.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Clearwater

Day 31 – Continue to Vancouver, 5 hours drive
Lodging location: Vancouver

Day 32 – Enjoy a day in Vancouver

Day 33 – Enjoy one more day in Vancouver

Day 34 – Cross the border to the USA and go whale watching from Anacortes, 1.5 hours drive

Day 35 – Drive to Seattle, on the way north visit the Boeing factory, 1.5 hours drive
