Seattle to Las Vegas 2


Seattle to Las Vegas 2 – One of the most recommended, most diverse, most in-depth and most scenic routes in West USA and West Canada. Includes the Canadian Rockies National Parks – in Canada, and in the USA – Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce and Zion National Parks (all together 12 National Parks and many more National Monuments and State and Provincial Parks). All the above in addition to the cities of Seattle and Vancouver and Las Vegas.


Day 1 – Land in Seattle and spend a few hours in the city
Lodging location: Seattle

Day 2 – Drive to Vancouver and enjoy half a day in the city, 2.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Vancouver

Day 3 – Start driving east to the Canadian Rockies, 5 hours drive
Lodging location: Clearwater

Day 4 – Continue driving east and on the way go on a boat tour near the small town of Blue River or visit Mount Robson Provincial Park, 2.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Jasper

Day 5 – Visit Jasper National Park, short drive
Lodging location: Jasper

Day 6 – Drive south along the Icefields Parkway from Jasper National Park to Banff National Park, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Lake Louise

Day 7 – Travel in the Lake Louise region of Banff National Park and/or visit Yoho National Park, in the evening drive to the town of Banff, 1 hour drive
(Try reserving a spot on the bus to Lake O’hara located in Yoho)
Lodging location: Banff

Day 8 – Drive to Waterton Lakes National Park and visit the park, 4 hours drive
Lodging location: Waterton

Day 9 – Cross the border to the USA and visit Glacier National Park (drive the Going to the Sun road), 2 hours drive (from Waterton to Saint Mary – without the drive in Going to the Sun road)
Lodging location: Saint Mary (or the eastern part of Glacier National Park)

Day 10 – Drive south towards Yellowstone National Park, in the afternoon bath in the Boiling River, 6 hours drive
Lodging location: Gardiner

Day 11 – Visit Mammoth Hot Springs and afterwards drive to the Lamar Valley, in the early afternoon hours arrive to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and visit the Canyon’s wonderful waterfalls and views, 1.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Canyon (or Lake Yellowstone)

Day 12 – Drive to the Upper Geyser Basin and visit this basin, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: West Yellowstone

Day 13 – Visit the Midway and Upper Geyser Basin and drive south to Grand Teton National Park, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Jackson

Day 14 – Visit the southern part of Grand Teton National Park and enjoy activities around Jackson, in the afternoon start driving south to Park City, 4.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Park City

Day 15 – Continue driving south to Moab, in the afternoon go rafting on the Colorado River (out of Moab), 4 hours drive
Lodging location: Moab

Day 16 – Visit Arches National Park, 1 hour drive in each direction
Lodging location: Moab

Day 17 – Visit Canyonlands National Park (Island in the Sky district), 1 hour drive in each direction
Lodging location: Moab

Day 18 – Drive to Bryce National Park through Capitol Reef National Park (it is highly recommended to drive via roads 24 and 12), 5 hours drive
Lodging location: Bryce

Day 19 – Visit Bryce National Park and drive to Zion National Park on scenic route 9, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Springdale

Day 20 – Spend the day in Zion National Park’s Canyon and in the afternoon drive to Las Vegas, 2.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Las Vegas

Day 21 – Spend the day in Las Vegas
Lodging location: Las Vegas

Day 22 – Fly Home
