Seattle to Salt Lake City 4 – One of the most recommended, most in-depth and most scenic routes in Northwest USA and West Canada. Includes the Vancouver Island and the Canadian Rockies National Parks – all in Canada, and in the USA – Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. All the above in addition to the beautiful cities of Seattle and Vancouver.


Day 1 – Land in Seattle and spend a few hours in the city
Lodging location: Seattle

– While in Seattle you may purchase a combo ticket for many of Seattle’s attractions

Day 2 – Enjoy the day in Seattle
Lodging location: Seattle

Day 3 – Take a short ferry ride plus drive the Olympic Peninsula and enjoy half a day in the northern part of the Olympic National Park, 20 minutes ferry ride plus 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Port Angeles

Day 4 – Visit the northern part of the Olympic National Park and Hurricane Ridge and take the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria (Canada), 2 hours drive plus 2 hours ferry ride

Day 5 – Visit Victoria
Lodging location: Victoria

Day 6 – Drive to Tofino and visit sites along the way, 4.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Tofino

Day 7 – Spend the day around Tofino and in Pacific Rim National Park, short drive
Lodging location: Tofino

Day 8 – Enjoy the morning in Tofino, drive to Nanaimo and take the ferry from Nanaimo (Departure Bay) to Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver), 3 hours drive plus 2.5 hours ferry ride

Day 9 – Enjoy a day in Vancouver
Lodging location: Vancouver

– While in Vancouver don’t miss a seaplane tour, a bike tour and/or a visit to the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. You may also join a Vancouver brewery tour

Day 10 – Start driving east to the Canadian Rockies, 5 hours drive
Lodging location: Clearwater

Day 11 – Continue driving east and on the way go on a boat tour near the small town of Blue River or visit Mount Robson Provincial Park, 2.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Jasper

Day 12 – Visit Jasper National Park, short drive
Lodging location: Jasper

Day 13 – Enjoy a day of activities in Jasper National Park, short drive
Lodging location: Jasper

– While in Jasper don’t miss the Jasper SkyTram and going on an easy rafting trip or a more challenging whitewater rafting adventure

Day 14 – Drive south along the Icefields Parkway from Jasper National Park to Banff National Park, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Lake Louise

Day 15 – Travel and hike in the Lake Louise region of Banff National Park, short drive
Lodging location: Lake Louise

Day 16 – Visit Yoho National Park and drive to the town of Banff, 1 hour drive
(Try reserving a spot on the bus to Lake O’hara located in Yoho)

Day 17 – Enjoy a day of activities in the town of Banff and it’s surroundings, short drive
Lodging location: Banff

– While in Banff don’t miss a visit to Lake Minnewanka and/or a ride on the Banff Gondola and/or a horseback ride and/or a wildlife watching canoe tour and/or an evening wildlife safari guided tour, and of course don’t miss on Banff’s whitewater rafting adventures

Day 18 – Drive to Waterton Lakes National Park and visit the park, 4 hours drive
Lodging location: Waterton

Day 19 – Travel and hike in Waterton Lakes National Park and cross the border to the USA, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Saint Mary (or the eastern part of Glacier National Park)

Day 20 – Drive the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park, 1 hour drive in each direction
Lodging location: Saint Mary (or the eastern part of Glacier National Park)

– While in Glacier don’t miss a whitewater rafting trip and/or an easy scenic raft trip out of West Glacier

Day 21 – Drive south towards Yellowstone National Park, in the afternoon bath in the Boiling River, 6 hours drive
Lodging location: Gardiner

Day 22 – Visit Mammoth Hot Springs and afterwards drive to the Lamar Valley and to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, 1.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Canyon (or Lake Yellowstone)

Day 23 – Enjoy the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone’s wonderful waterfalls and views and afterwards drive to the Lower Geyser Basin and visit this basin, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: West Yellowstone

Day 24 – Visit the Midway and Upper Geyser Basin, 1 hour drive in each direction
Lodging location: West Yellowstone

Day 25 – Drive south to Grand Teton National Park through West Thumb Geyser Basin (on the shores of Lake Yellowstone, 3.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Jackson

– While in Grand Teton don’t miss a whitewater rafting adventure on the Snake River or a leisurely float trip and/or enjoy a Jackson Hole sunrise hot air balloon flight or a horseback ride tour, and of course don’t miss a visit to the amazing National Museum of Wildlife Art

Day 26 – Visit the southern part of Grand Teton National Park and enjoy activities around Jackson, in the afternoon drive south to Salt Lake City, 4.5 hours drive
