Washington to New York 4 – A comprehensive itinerary in the Northeastern USA that includes the Hershey and the Amish region, the Niagara Falls, the Adirondack Mountains, the Green Mountains, the White Mountains, the Cape Cod Peninsula as well as the cities of Washington and Boston. In summer there are many water outdoor activities along this route (and other attractions such as ziplines, alpine slides and more) while in autumn this region enjoys spectacular fall colors. It is recommended to add a few days in New York City at the end of this route.
Day 1 – Land in Washington DC and enjoy half a day in the city

Day 2 – Visit Washington DC

Day 3 – Start driving to the Niagara Falls (on the way stop for a visit in Hershey’s Chocolate World or the Amish Country), 4 hours drive

Day 4 – Continue driving to the Niagara Falls (on the way you can stop and visit the Corning Museum of Glass), cross the border to Canada and in the afternoon hours – visit the falls (on the Canadian side), 4 hours drive

Day 5 – Tour the Falls and drive east to the Adirondack Mountains, 6 hours drive

Day 6 – Continue driving east and travel in the Adirondack Mountains, in the afternoon take the ferry ride that crosses Lake Champlain towards Vermont, 2 hours drive plus 30 minutes ferry ride

Day 7 – Enjoy activities in the Green Mountains, around Stowe

Day 8 – Drive south on scenic route 100 and visit sites along the way (plus go tubing in the Mad River) towards the town of Woodstock (Vermont), 2 hours drive

Day 9 – Cross the White Mountains from west to east through route 112 (Kancamagus Highway) and visit sites along the way, 3 hours drive

Day 10 – Travel in the eastern part of the White Mountains
