Montreal Circular 2 – A comprehensive route in Eastern Canada. The route starts in the city of Montreal and from there leads to the beautiful Quebec City. The continuation of the route follows the eastern banks of the Saint Lawrence River and visits some beautiful nature areas along it. After crossing the delta of the river by ferry the route leads to the Gaspe Peninsula, a beautiful, pristine region. From this peninsula the route runs through the province of New Brunswick to the northern province of Nova Scotia and to Cape Breton island. After touring the island’s beautiful National Park, the route leads south to the picturesque villages of Nova Scotia. before returning to Montreal, where this trip ends.


Day 1 Land in Montreal and tour the city
Lodging location: Montreal

Day 2 – Drive to Quebec City along the Saint Lawrence River, on the way stop for a visit at La Mauricie National Park, 5 hours drive
Lodging location: Quebec City

Day 3 – Visit Quebec City and drive to Tadoussac, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Tadoussac

Day 4 – Go whale watching in Tadoussac and afterwards drive north and take the ferry to Matane, 2.5 hours ferry ride plus 2.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Matane

Day 5 – Drive along to coast to the tip of the Gaspe peninsula and visit Forillon National Park, 4 hours drive
Lodging location: Gaspe

Day 6 – Drive south and visit the amazing Gannet colony in Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé National Park, 1 hour drive
Lodging location: Perce

Day 7 – Drive to the town of Moncton and on the way visit Kouchibouguac National Park, 6.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Moncton

Day 8 – Drive to Cape Breton, and on the way visit Hopewell Rocks (the place with the greatest tides in the world), 6 hours drive
Lodging location: Cheticamp

Day 9 – Visit West and North Cape Breton Highlands National Park, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Ingonish

Day 10 – Travel to East Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and drive to Halifax, 5 hours drive
Lodging location: Halifax

Day 11 – Visit Halifax and drive to the village of Peggy’s Cove and the beautiful coastal areas around it, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Lunenburg

Day 12 – Drive to the town of Digby through Kejimkujik National Park, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Digby

Day 13 – Drive plus take the short ferry rides to the end of Digby Neck (to Brier Island) and go whale watching, 3.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Digby

Day 14 – Take the ferry to Saint John and start driving to Montreal, 2.5 hours ferry ride plus 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Grand Falls

Day 15 – Continue driving to Montreal, 6 hours drive
Lodging location: Montreal

Day 16 – Fly home
