New York to Boston 8


New York to Boston 8 – A short route in New England (mainly in New Hampshire and Vermont) that includes the White Mountains and the Green Mountains, as well as the city of Boston. In summer there are many water activities along this route (and other attractions such as zipline and alpine slides), while in autumn these regions are colored by a spectacular fall foliage. It is of course recommended to add a few days in New York City at the beginning of this route.


Day 1 – Land in New York and drive to north to Lenox or Lee, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: Lenox or Lee

Day 2 – Travel north along Highway 100 in the Green Mountains, 3.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Woodstock

Day 3 – Drive north on scenic route 100 and visit sites along the way towards the town of Stowe (Vermont), spend the afternoon in Stowe, 2 hours drive
Lodging location: Stowe

Day 4 – Cross the White Mountains from west to east through route 112 (Kancamagus Highway) and visit sites along the way, 3 hours drive
Lodging location: North Conway

Day 5 – Travel in the eastern part of the White Mountains
Lodging location: North Conway

Day 6 – Enjoy half a day in the White Mountains and drive to Boston, 2.5 hours drive
Lodging location: Boston

Day 7 – Visit Boston
Lodging location: Boston

Day 8 – Fly home
